Student Council

‘‘All for One and One for All’’

Dafne Asiatic School has four groups-Subhash Group, Tagore Group, Ashok Group and Raman Group. These four groups have one aim in common: to keep the spirit of the school motto alive and to turn students into people of character and integrity, who can make India realize its potential as the most powerful nation on earth. The groups take part in a variety of extracurricular and co-curricular activities. A spirit of friendly rivalry is maintained no matter how intense the competition.

The group captains act as leaders, guiding their charges and sorting out their issues. They are mentors as well as mates, friendly and impartial. The STAR groups act as Dafne’s brand ambassadors, wherever they represent their school. Dafne has maintained its reputation as the best CBSE school in Rajahmundry, thanks to the sterling work done by its Groups. The immortal phrase, ‘’All for One and One for All’’, might easily be applied to the four Groups at DAS!

Student Safety

Our pupils’ welfare is our paramount concern.  We believe that our school should provide a caring, positive and stimulating environment that will help children feel safe and respected and promote the social, physical and moral development of the individual child. We encourage a culture of listening to children and taking account of their wishes and feelings in any action the school takes to protect them. We recognise the importance of enabling children to talk openly and to feel confident that they will be listened to.

Student Healthcare

Creating and maintaining a healthy environment is a priority at Dafne Asiatic School

Whether it is fumigation of the premises every week, chlorine cleansing of the water, and spraying of DDT and pesticides… or ensuring germ-free soap-equipped washrooms, installing reverse osmosis filtration systems for drinking water, and appointing dedicated quality & cleanliness control personnel, DAS approaches health on the school campus with genuine concern.

There is an accompanying thrust on medical care at DAS. Staffed by a full-time nurse, the school clinic is equipped with preliminary medication. Health check-ups are conducted twice a year for all students. Students also attend first aid workshops for health emergencies, fire and disaster management drills, and awareness programmes on diseases & disorders.

Personal Counselling

At dafne Asiatic school Relationships Are Important

Our counsellors are here to listen and help with life’s challenges

At Dafne all teachers have been trained to be sensitive to the students’ needs besides carrying out their academic duties.

Counselling offers a safe, confidential space where students can speak to a caring professional who will support and guide them as they process through difficulties and learn more about themselves and others. Some of the reasons why students turn to counselling include homesickness, to enhance their communication skills, and to help develop life-coping strategies.

Counselling assists in personal growth and in helping children resolve any personal or social roadblocks. Students may seek counselling to learn skills for resolving conflict or in learning to effectively communicate with others. They may also wish to learn about their own psychological development, their personality type, and what motivates them. For many people, the simple act of talking through a problem is enough to help them find a solution.

It’s not usual for any child to experience some anxiety and sadness as a normal part of growing up. If, however, this becomes a roadblock to their learning and adapting, our counsellors are available to help the students work through and resolve the issue.

To help students get through the tough time that adolescence may bring with growth, in-house counselling is offered as a regular programme in the college. The counsellor’s role is to help students build their personalities, enable them to cope with the many pressures of academics and overcome fear, stress, anxiety and pressure. They are helped to manage time and other emotional and psychological problems as well.
